Payment Information

My rate for a 50 minute individual, couples or family session is $150.00

Sliding scale is available based on income. You and I will discuss an appropriate fee that you are comfortable with and that fits your budget.

I accept cash, check, PayPal (credit cards through PayPal).  I also accept HSA/FSA cards and most EAP programs (please check with your employer to see if they offer an EAP program and process for obtaining services).

 

Payment is due at time of service.

INFORMATION REGARDING INSURANCE

Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to obtain full or partial reimbursement for therapy for “out of network providers” (but this is not guaranteed and is up to your insurance company). I can provide you with an invoice (does require diagnosis be indicated) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Some important questions to ask your insurance company are:

– What is my mental health coverage like?
– How much does my insurance pay for “out of network providers”?
– What does my insurance cover per therapy session?
– Through my plan, do I have a limited number of therapy sessions?
– Do I need approval from my primary care physician in order to go to therapy?

While health insurance will often reimburse for the treatment of certain diagnoses, they sometimes will only cover a certain amount of sessions. Insurance companies often require the therapist to provide personal information about the patient and their counseling sessions with their therapist, provide a mental health diagnosis that becomes part of the patient’s permanent record, and obtain approval to continue with therapy sessions and treatment.

Cancellations & Out Of Town

I understand that sometimes you may not be able to make it to my office for your appointment for reasons such as illnesses, emergencies, or being out of town. For your convenience, I offer telemedicine sessions in a confidential, secure, HIPAA compliant way.

 

All cancellations require 24 hours notice in advance.

 

If for some reason, you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hour notice or miss your appointment, you will be charged for the missed appointment.

 

If your cancellation is due to an emergency or illness, you will not be charged a cancellation fee. I understand that instances like this come up and are unavoidable at times. I try to maintain a timely schedule for my patients and I appreciate your help in doing so.
